I'm Malcolm, an Accredited CBT (Cognitive Behavioural) psychotherapist. I also use ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Schema Therapy. I am an Associate Member of ISST (the International Schema Society).
You’re probably at my website because you are looking for a therapist. There are so many of us to choose from. Therapy, in my opinion, is a bit like exercise. People have very different needs.
I offer two pathways for new clients.
If you have immediate issues such as anxiety or depression, we will use CBT and ACT to tackle these issues. This is called a third-wave CBT approach.
If you have longer-lasting issues, perhaps from childhood, that might feel almost impossible to change, we may also incorporate schema-aware tools and techniques.
